On 27 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Charles L. Wood, age 23, HC 60 Box 254A, New Martinsville, WV, for traveling 68 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Wood near milepost forty-five on State Route 7 in Grandview Township.

On 27 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Jacob M. Brunoni, age 19, 13669 County Nine Road, New Matamoras, for traveling 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Brunoni near milepost forty-seven on State Route 7 in Grandview Township.

On 27 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Jenica M. Weaver, age 31, 923 Old Beavertown Road, New Matamoras, for traveling 64 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Ms. Weaver on State Route 7 near Archers Fork Road in Grandview Township.

On 27 May 11 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Mark T. Taulbee Jr., age 23, 10 State Route 339, Belpre, for traveling 64 mph in a 55 mph zone. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Mr. Taulbee on State Route 339 near Lewis Point Drive in Barlow Township.

On 27 May 11 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Linda L. Lawrence, age 61, 1244 Hackney Road, Beverly, for traveling 48 mph in a 20 mph school zone. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Ms. Lawrence on State Route 339 near Warrior Drive in Barlow Township.

On 27 May 11 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Heather J. Strahl, age 21, 6080 Willow Lake Drive, Hudson, OH, for traveling 72 mph in a 60 mph zone. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Ms. Strahl on US 50 near State Route 339 in Belpre Township.

On 27 May 11 Deputy Sheriffs Holbert and Smeeks responded to a report of a disturbance at 460 Barrett-South Road, Vincent. When they arrived Deputy Smeeks observed a male subject, later identified as Thomas A. Statkiewicz, age 28, 253 Lake Road Apt. A, Fleming, covered in blood and standing in the roadway. Mr. Statkiewicz informed the Deputies that he and his wife were leaving the residence after visiting friends and were involved in an argument. During the argument Mr. Statkiewicz said he punched the window of his Dodge van and shattered it. Mr. Statkiewicz’s six month old daughter was in a car seat inside the van when he punched the window and suffered small scratches from flying glass. After punching the window, Mr. Statkiewicz retrieved a piece of broken glass and cut himself in the arm. Mr. Statkiewicz said he was not trying to kill himself and that he was cutting himself out of anger. As a result of the incident, Mr. Statkiewicz was arrested for child endangering and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 27 May 11 Sgt. Norman arrested a seventeen year old Marietta resident and transported him to the Washington County Juvenile Center on a charge of delinquency by domestic violence. Unruly and in a state of extreme agitation, the juvenile refused to cooperate with family members and became violent. The teenager’s father said his son was out of control and struck him in the arm during the incident. Furthermore the juvenile’s father said he believed his son was attempting to harm him during the incident.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Garrett Bing, age 28, 37235 State Route 143, Pomeroy, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Bing was arrested in Reno by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 11 at 1:02 am.

Christopher Benjamin Woods, age 34, 734 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for resisting arrest, possession of drug abuse instruments and for obstructing official business, all misdemeanors. Woods was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 11 at 1:45 am.

Leonard Ashley, age 29, 1501 Crawford Road, Cleveland, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs and reckless operation, all misdemeanors. Ashley was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 11 at 4:39 am.

Nyoka Sue McGee, age 34, 24 Colegate Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. McGee was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 11 at 7:05 am.

Thomas Alden Statkiewicz, age 28, 253 Lake Road Apt. A, Fleming, for endangering children and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors. Statkiewicz was arrested in Vincent by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 May 11 at 7:52 pm.
