On 25 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrested Keith M. Miller, age 38, 1754 Vickers Road, Marietta, for OVI and for driving under a suspended license. Investigating a report of a driver passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle, Deputy Lockhart located Mr. Miller near the intersection of Wynncrest Drive and State Route 550. When Deputy Lockhart roused Mr. Miller from his drunken slumber Mr. Miller was incoherent and had no idea where he was or what was happening. Having a strong odor of alcohol, Mr. Miller commented he had way too much to drink to be driving and could barely stand to perform sobriety tests. At the Washington County Jail, Mr. Miller refused to submit to a BAC test.

On 25 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Schubert issued citation to Bradley I. Swisher, age 21, 329 Lake Washington Road, Washington, WV, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Schubert originally stopped Mr. Swisher for speeding on US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre Township.

On 25 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Schubert issued citation to Kenneth A. Smith, age 47, 6956 E. Broad Street Apt. 256, Columbus, for traveling 65 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy Schubert stopped Mr. Smith on US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre Township.

On 25 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Schubert issued citation to Eric F. Byrd, age 32, 23971 Moyis Road, Coolville, for traveling 70 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy Schubert stopped Mr. Byrd on State Route 7 near Bramblewood Heights Road in Marietta Township.

On 25 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Mankins filed charges against Jason Strickler, age 32, 230 Milltown Road, Newport for eight counts of violating the terms of a protection order. Beginning on 24 May Mr. Strickler attempted to contact his wife directly and indirectly through a friend on eight occasions. Mr. Strickler was free on bond following a domestic violence arrest on 15 May and served with a protection order forbidding any contact with his wife the following day. He was arrested on 25 May following a court appearance and is currently incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.

On 25 May 11 an employee of C&C Dodge Toyota, 1305 Pike Street, Marietta, reported the catalytic converters were cut off a total of eighteen trucks and SUVs parked at various locations behind the business. This case remains under investigation (592).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Keith Martin Miller, age 38, 1754 Vickers Road, Marietta, for OVI and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors. Miller was arrested on Wynncrest Drive by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 11 at 4:36 am.

Jason Lee Strickler, age 32, 230 Milltown Road, Newport, for a felony charge of domestic violence and for eight counts of violating the terms of a protection order. Strickler was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 11 at 9:22 am.

Justin Ryan Schroeder, age 29, 6235 Fifteenmile Creek Road, Wingett Run, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Schroeder was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 11 at 11:44 am.

Jolena Ann Best, age 45, 20 Campbell Run Road, Lower Salem, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Best was arrested at the Adult Probation Office by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 11 at 11:54 am.

Heather Marie Manges, age 31, 520 Honeytown Road, Wooster, OH, for possession of drugs, a felony. Manges was picked up at the Ohio Reformatory for Women by Deputy Sheriff Deem and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 May 11 at 3:00 pm.
