Archive of 05-13-11

On 13 May 11 an employee of Washington Farms, 1500 Stanleyville Narrows Road, Marietta, reported fifty ten foot by four inch well casings were stolen from the company’s property sometime between 11 May and 13 May. The steel casings are worth approximately $4,000. This case remains under investigation (805).

On 13 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart received information that an inoperable 2001 Volkswagen Passat stolen from 341 Tadpole Run Road, Marietta, was recovered over an embankment at 1936 Barth Road, Marietta. The vehicle’s owner, Jonathan Ahart, age 32, 251 Poplar Street, Davisville, WV, said he parked the vehicle at the Tadpole Run Road location in the middle of April and it would not run when he towed it there. This case remains under investigation.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

James W. Black, age 22, 300 Fourth Street Apt. A, Marietta, for failing to appear for a hearing on 6 May 11.

Jacob K. Rowe, age 20, 127 Ohio Boulevard, Marietta, for contempt for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $484.90.

Eric D. Wright, age 25, 1200 Lynch Church Road, Marietta, for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate his vehicle on 30 Mar 11.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Travis Riffle, age 38, 3719 Blue Knob Road Apt. 1, Marietta, for OVI, falsification and failure to control, all misdemeanors. Riffle was arrested on State Route 550 in Barlow by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 11 at 4:06 am.

Delmar E. Wittekind II, age 41, 1485 Hanna Road, Marietta, for resisting arrest and for disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. Wittekind was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 11 at 4:40 am.

John Shane Bishop, age 34, 312 Kittle Street, Williamstown, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Bishop was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 11 at 11:31 am.

Dominique Nicole Riggins, age 25, 162 Meadow Drive, Mineral Wells, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Riggins turned herself in to Patrolman Heddleston at the Belpre City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 11 at 11:37 pm.
