On 11 May 11 Sheila D. Murphy, age 53, 11500 Veto Road, Marietta, reported she was involved in an altercation with her husband Stephen, age 47. Mrs. Murphy said her husband was intoxicated, upset about softball and accused her of checking the incoming and outgoing calls on his mobile phone. Confronting her in the kitchen, Mrs. Murphy said her husband punched her in the face, shoulder and abdomen. Mrs. Murphy said at one point her husband pinned her to the floor, placed his foot on her throat and threatened to break her neck. Mr. Murphy then grabbed his wife by the neck and twisted it before she was able to wriggle free and seek refuge in a bedroom. Inquired about the incident, Mr. Murphy admitted being involved in a physical confrontation with his wife and said he made a mistake by hitting her. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Mr. Murphy for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 11 May 11 Tammy Wunderlich, age 41, 18155 State Route 339, Waterford, reported shortly after her brother in law, Michael P. Miller, age 42, 417 Rauch Road, Waterford, phoned her and threatened to shoot her and himself, he appeared at her residence. When Mr. Miller arrived, Mrs. Wunderlich’s husband Jason, age 32, repeatedly asked him to leave the property and a brief scuffle between the two ensued. Fleeing the scene, Mr. Miller was located in Barlow by Sgt. Hornbeck. At the scene, Mr. Wunderlich informed Deputy Sheriff Rhodes that he was not injured during the fray but his wife commented she feared for her life after receiving Mr. Miller’s phone call. As a result of the incident, Sgt. Hornbeck arrested Mr. Miller for telephone harassment, aggravated trespassing, disorderly conduct and aggravated menacing and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 11 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued a citation to Sarah M. Altman, age 27, 107 Pineview Circle, Marietta, for traveling 60 mph in a 50 mph zone. Deputy Lockhart stopped Ms. Altman on US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre Township.

On 11 May 11 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Ethan J. Williams, age 18, 22750 Township Road 119, Coolville, for traveling 79 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Williams on State Route 7 near milepost one in Belpre Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Tiffany Rena Kimball, age 22, 520 Third Street Lot 21, Belmont, WV, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Kimball turned herself in to Deputy Sheriff Malone and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 May 11 at 11:25 am.

Terry Gilbert Dalton, age 45, 1313 Jewett Drive, Zanesville, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Dalton was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 May 11 at 4:15 pm.

Adam Corey Abbott, age 21, 2165 Congress Road, Belpre, for theft, a felony. Abbott turned himself in to Corrections Officer Sheaves and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 May 11 at 7:12 pm.

Michael Phillip Miller, age 42, 417 Rauch Road, Waterford, for telephone harassment, aggravated trespassing, disorderly conduct and aggravated menacing, all misdemeanors. Miller was arrested on State Route 339 by Sgt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 May 11 at 9:44 pm.

Stephen Matthew Murphy, age 47, 11500 Veto Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Murphy was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 May 11 at 10:19 pm.

Harold Dwayne Lowe, age 49, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Lowe was arrested at Burger King by Patrolman Wright of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 May 11 at 10:26 pm.
