On 27 Apr 11 Corrections Officer Sheaves charged Washington County Jail inmate Antonio D. Cottingham, age 24, 618 Market Street, Fairmont, WV, with assault. For reasons unknown, Mr. Cottingham attacked fellow inmate Ryan E. Hayes, age 33, 200 Derrer Road, Columbus, as he lay on his bunk. After fighting briefly Mr. Hayes retreated to a restroom and was followed shortly thereafter by Mr. Cottingham. Mr. Cottingham then attacked Mr. Hayes a second time. As a result of the incident Mr. Hayes received sutures to close a laceration on his lip.

On 27 Apr 11 Amanda K. Mayle, age 26, 13295 State Route 555, Cutler, reported she was visiting a friend at 10965 State Route 555 when she was assaulted by Sheldon D. Hill, age 28, 9150 State Route 550, Vincent. As soon as she arrived at the residence Ms. Mayle said Mr. Hill initiated an argument. Ms. Mayle said during the argument Mr. Hill approached her, grabbed her neck and choked her. Viewing red marks on Ms. Mayle’s neck and verifying her claim with witnesses, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested a warrant for Mr. Hill for assault.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Jakeb M. Bailey, age 20, 4746 Federal Road, Coolville, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment, failing to show proof of restitution and failing to show proof of completing an assessment/counseling.

Pebble M. Longfellow, age 25, 966 State Route 555, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of her probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment, failing to show proof of completing a driver intervention program and failing to show proof of completing an assessment/counseling.

Jerry D. Smith, age 24, 324 Second Street, Macksburg, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment and failing to show proof of completing an assessment/counseling.

Elizabeth M. Westgate, age 50, 13 Wells Circle, Parkersburg, for failing to appear for a contempt of court and probation violation hearing on 20 Apr 11.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ronald Eugene Blair Jr., age 30, 38882 Sheepskin Ridge Road, Lower Salem, for OVI and for endangering children, both misdemeanors. Blair was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 11 at 8:34 am.

Cody Lee Parker, age 22, 114 Grove Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Parker was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 11 at 11:02 am.

Andrew Alan Huck, age 33, 10 Kern Drive, Marietta, a fugitive from justice, a felony. Huck was arrested on Main Street by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 11 at 7:40 pm.

Eric Todd Kendall, age 35, 130 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, contempt of a court order and for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Kendall was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Apr 11 at 10:15 pm.
