On 23 Apr 11 Russell L. Daniels, age 21, 20 Dye Street Apt. 1, Newport, reported he and his wife departed their residence at 7 pm the previous evening and when they returned at 4 am he noticed their front door was not secure. Once inside the residence Mr. Daniels said he noticed an Xbox with two controllers, a fishing rod and reel and two HP laptop computers were missing from the living room. This case remains under investigation (200).


On Saturday, April 23, 2011 Agents from the Major Crimes Task Force executed six search warrants (five in Morgan County and one in Washington County) as the result of a three year investigation into a major trafficking organization operating in Morgan and Washington County. The organization was allegedly transporting marijuana from the western part of the United States into Morgan and Washington County.

Search warrants were executed at:

The residence of Hank H. Holloway, 5265 Strode Lane, Chesterhill;

The residence of Erik Holloway and Nicole Pauley Holloway, 260 East Main Street, McConnelsville;

The residence of Michael and Peggy Adkins, 5399 Strode Lane, Chesterhill, OH;

Multiple Storage Units in Morgan and Washington County;

Arrested for Trafficking in Marijuana and Engaging in a Pattern of a Corrupt Activity:

Hank H. Holloway, age 56, 5265 Strode Lane, Chesterhill;

Kelly R. Adkins, age 38, 5265 Strode Lane, Chesterhill;

Marsha A. Holloway, age 43, 5265 Strode Lane, Chesterhill;

Nicole Pauley, age 20, 260 East Main Street, McConnelsville;

Michael L. Adkins, age 30, 5399 Strode Lane, Chesterhill;

A seventeen year old juvenile whose name is not being released;

Seized was over 180 pounds of marijuana, over $750,000 in cash, ten vehicles, two Jet Ski’s, one camper, one motorcycle, 87 various firearms.

Total assets to be seized (including the residence of Hank Holloway) are anticipated to exceed one million dollars.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Robert Troy Schoolcraft, age 47, 2301 Rockland Avenue, Belpre, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Schoolcraft was arrested in Belpre by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 11 at 2:12 am.

Ryan Christopher Harlan, age 37, 117 Strecker Hill, age 37, for .08 breath OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Harlan was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 11 at 4:19 am.
