On 15 Apr 11 Estell Gallagher, age 83, 417 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, reported the theft of her red 1994 Chevrolet pick up truck from her residence, without her permission, by her grandson. A warrant was requested for Eric Christopher Edgar, age 26, 417 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, for the theft. Deputy Schubert later arrested Edgar for theft and transported him to the Washington County Jail. (594)

On 15 Apr 11 Ronald D. Hysell, age 71, 18399 State Rte 339, Waterford, reported a burglary at his residence in which numerous firearms were taken. This case remains under investigation (1293).

On 15 Apr 11 Lt. Stackpole was patrolling the area of Sheets Road in Wesley Township when he observed a vehicle in which the driver was acting suspicious. Lt. Stackpole stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Joshua Michael Ferrebee, 2264 Two Mile Run Road, Cutler. Ferrebee advised the officer that he was under suspension for an OVI conviction. Other officers arrived on scene to assist Lt. Stackpole and upon Ferrebee stepping from the vehicle officers observed a sawed off shotgun on the floor of the vehicle between Ferrebee and his passenger. Ferrebee stated that he purchased the weapon and was not aware that it was illegal to possess. Ferrebee was arrested for unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance, a felony, and OVI suspension, a misdemeanor and was transported to the Washington County Jail. (1090)

On 15 Apr 11 Dwayne Scott Singer, age 19, 2050 Roberts Road, Amesville, was cited for speed, 73 in a 55 mph zone by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. (608)

On 15 Apr 11 Nathan C. Brady, age 18, was cited for speed, 72 in a 55 mph zone by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. (608)

On 15 Apr 11 Sgt. Hornbeck requested a summons for Zakara R. Shirley, age 25, 2715 Evans Road, Leon, WV, for criminal mischief. Ms. Shirley went to the residence of an old boyfriend to pick up property she had left behind. Shirley was angry and caused damage to a garage door, as well as some vinyl siding.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Homer Malone, age 33, 405 Lord Street, Marietta, for felony charges of possession of criminal tools and obstructing official business and for misdemeanor charges of making false alarms and obstructing official business. Malone was arrested on Muskingum Drive by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Apr 11 at 12:14 am.

Keith Allen Drake, age 24, 833 Ridge Street, Marietta, for two warrants failure to appear, and failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors. Drake was arrested on County Road 9, Reno, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Apr 11 at 3:15 p.m.

Joshua Michael Ferrebee, age 20, 2264 Two Mile Run Road, Cutler, for OVI suspension, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of dangerous ordinance, a felony. Ferrebee was arrested on Sheets Road in Bartlett by Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Apr 11 at 11:44 p.m.
