On 11 Apr 11 Deputy Sheriff Schubert requested
summonses for Barbara Cupp, age 18, 2752 Mount Carmel Road,
Saint Marys, and Tiffany Kimball, age 22, PO Box 466, Saint
Marys, for disorderly conduct by fighting. While attempting
to retrieve belongings from her on again/off again boyfriend
at his residence at 38215 State Route 7, Newport, Ms. Cupp became
involved in an argument with Ms. Kimball, who is her boyfriend’s
sister. A minor altercation followed, with Ms. Cupp and Ms.
Kimball wrestling on the ground.
On 11 Apr 11 Jennifer L. Liston, age 32, 487
A.E. Miller Road, Lowell, reported she was involved in a dispute
with her husband Samuel, age 32, at their residence that evening.
Mrs. Liston said her husband was complaining that he had a headache
and was upset that she was talking too loud. Throughout the
incident, Mrs. Liston said her husband continuously berated
her to her young son and complained that she never did anything
around the house. At one point Mr. Liston threw a bottle of
mustard that struck his wife in the foot and left a bruise.
Mrs. Liston said the dispute caused her to fear for her safety
and for that of her son and that he has been abusive to her
in the past. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested Mr.
Liston for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
On 11 Apr 11 an employee of Select Pipeline
Service, 7994 Pleasants Highway, Saint Marys, reported sometime
between 3 pm on 9 Apr and 6:30 am on 11 Apr an unknown suspect(s)
stole a Honda generator from the company’s worksite at
500 Sackett Run Road in Ludlow Township. The generator, which
is owned by United Rentals, has an approximate value of $4,000.
This case remains under investigation (594).
On 11 Apr 11 a sixteen year old Frontier High
School student reported another student punched her in the face
while she was changing buses that afternoon. The teenager and
her mother are consulting school officials prior to deciding
if they want to pursue criminal charges in the matter (594).
On 11 Apr 11 a seventeen year old Bartlett
resident reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) broke
the windshield and taillights of his truck and ripped the stereo
from the dashboard. The victim found the stereo on the ground
near his truck and stated nothing else appears missing. This
case remains under investigation (707).
On 11 Apr 11 Thomas L. Schaad, age 55, 3851
Buchanan Road, Waterford, reported in July or August 2010 he
contracted an individual to timber his property and that he
was to receive $20,000 in proceeds from the sale of the timber.
Mr. Schaad said he has yet to receive money from the sale of
the wood and the contractor has not returned his numerous calls.
Deputy Sheriff Caltrider determined this case was a civil matter
and advised Mr. Schaad to seek remuneration through the courts.
On 11 Apr 11 Sgt. Norman and Deputy Sheriff
Lockhart responded to the scene of death of a twenty-seven year
old Belpre resident. The cause of the woman’s death appears
to be due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Though no foul
play is suspected, this case remains under investigation.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Dustin Robert Jones, age 24, 6228 Hecla Street,
Detroit, MI, for possession of criminal tools and for receiving
stolen property, both felonies. Jones was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Apr 11 at 8:21 am.
Ashley Lynae Moore, age 25, 15854 Ilene Street,
Detroit, MI, for felony charges of possession of criminal tools
and receiving stolen property and for a misdemeanor charge of
speeding. Moore was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 11 Apr 11 at 8:44 am.
Shanita Monique Moore, age 28, 6100 Evergreen
Avenue, Detroit, MI, for possession of criminal tools and for
receiving stolen property, both felonies. Moore was arrested
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr 11 at 9:31 am.
Chapman Lee Rake, age 22, 108 Third Street
Apt. B, Belpre, for conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary,
a felony. Rake was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail
by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 11 Apr 11 at 12:19 pm.
Michael Paul Marshall, age 35, 100 Crestlyn
Court, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a
felony. Marshall was arrested at the office of Probation Officer
Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr
11 at 3:13 pm.
James Justin Lowers, age 32, 3455 Kosky Drive,
Stockport, for theft, a misdemeanor. Lowers was arrested in
Juvenile Court by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Apr 11 at 4:30 pm.
Eldon Ray Pierce, age 34, 207 ½ Florence
Street, Belpre, for failure to appear and for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Pierce was arrested on Veto Road in Belpre by Sgt. Norman of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr 11 at 5:17 pm.
Samuel Jon Liston, age 32, 487 A.E. Miller
Road, Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Liston was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr 11 at 10:15 pm.
