On 2 Apr 11 a resident on Waterford Road in
Waterford reported she believes a teenaged neighbor shot a window
at Waterford High School with some type of gun. An employee
at the school was unsure if there was any damage to the already
damaged window but Deputy Sheriff Holbert discovered a glass
shard near a small fracture in the window. Questioned about
the incident, the juvenile admitted firing his air rifle toward
the school but stated he did not intentionally shoot at a window.
The juvenile’s parents stated they would contact school
officials to attempt to resolve the situation. This case remains
open pending a decision by school officials to pursue charges.
