On 27 Mar 11 Renee L. Luke, age 29, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 6, Marietta, reported she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend when she arrived home from work that afternoon. Ms. Luke said her ex-boyfriend, Lovell A. Schaffer, age 31, 1232 Cisler Drive, Marietta, was at her residence to babysit the child they have together and an argument erupted when he found out she spoke to his current girlfriend. When Mr. Schaffer threatened to take Ms. Luke’s vehicle, Ms. Luke phoned for help and further angered Mr. Schaffer. Mr. Schaffer then threatened to kill Ms. Luke and threw her television onto the floor. Mr. Schaffer subsequently choked Ms. Luke on two occasions, stole her daughter’s $500 in Girl Scout Cookie money and fled the residence in Ms. Luke’s Ford Explorer. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested a warrant for Mr. Schaffer for domestic violence and for two counts of theft.
