On 23 Mar 11 Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Paula J. Fleming, age 30, 30 Coal Run Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication. A family member reported Ms. Fleming was highly intoxicated and departed the residence after threatening to jump off a bridge. En route to the scene, Deputy Carr located Ms. Fleming lying in a wooded area twenty-five yards off the roadway near the bridge on Coal Run Road. Taken into custody for her safety, Ms. Fleming had difficulty standing and shouted and repeatedly kicked and hit the inside of Deputy Carr’s cruiser while being transported to the Washington County Jail. Ms. Fleming’s belligerent behavior continued after being processed into the jail and was tasered and placed in a restraint chair by Corrections Officers.

On 23 Mar 11 Lillie Singer, age 51, 11827 State Route 555, Cutler, reported her ex-husband kicked her in the back of her leg while he visited her residence for a short time that evening. Interviewing the alleged suspect, Deputy Sheriff Lockhart was unable to corroborate Ms. Singer’s claim. Due to inconsistencies he found in Ms. Singer’s statements in this case and a similar case reported previously, Deputy Lockhart forwarded this case to the Law Director’s Office to determine if any charges are warranted.

On 23 Mar 11 a home healthcare provider reported a fifty-one year old Barlow resident may be the victim of abuse.
