On 22 Mar 11 a fourteen year old Marietta resident reported his father punched him in the face. Interviewing the alleged suspect and a witness, Sgt. Hornbeck could not substantiate the teenager’s claim. Sgt. Hornbeck consulted the family’s caseworker at Children’s Services and was informed that the agency has a lengthy case history with the family and that a majority of the cases regard the alleged victim being out of control. This case remains under investigation.

On 22 Mar 11 Thomas L. Mabry, age 41, 607 52nd Street, Vienna, reported he parked his vehicle in the lot at Thermo-Fisher, 401 Mill Creek Road, Marietta, at 1:30 pm and when he finished his shift that evening the rear driver side window was shattered. Mr. Mabry stated he picked up his wife’s prescription for Adderall on the way to work and the medication was missing from the vehicle. This case remains under investigation (790).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Aaron Lee Winer, age 26, 605 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, for contempt of a court order and for two counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Winer was picked up in Port Clinton, OH by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 11 at 3:32 pm.

Cassandra Nicole Wells, age 19, 153 17th Street, Parkersburg, for theft, a misdemeanor. Wells was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Mar 11 at 6:40 pm.
