On 21 Mar 11 Sgt. Norman and Deputy Sheriff Reeder responded to a domestic dispute outside 312 Third Street, Lowell. Questioned about the incident, the victim, Tiffany McPherson, age 29, 836 Pike Street Apt. 24, Marietta, said she was visiting the residence along with her live-in boyfriend Jason Bailey, age 35, when an argument erupted. Ms. McPherson said Mr. Bailey “went nuts,” shoved her to the ground and repeatedly punched her. Mr. Bailey claimed his girlfriend was the aggressor and said she scratched him in the face numerous times. Despite Mr. Bailey’s assertions several witnesses stated that he was relentlessly assaulting Ms. McPherson. Arrested for domestic violence, Mr. Bailey continuously cursed and threatened Deputy Reeder while being transported to the Washington County Jail. Mr. Bailey also threatened to kick the windows out of the cruiser and banged his head several times on the cruiser’s protective partition.

On 21 Mar 11 an employee of Family Ford, 909 Pike Street, Marietta, reported sometime between 7 pm on 19 Mar and 9 am on 21 Mar an unknown suspect(s) removed the tailgates from four pickup trucks in the business’ lot. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 21 Mar 11 Timothy J. McCauley, age 18, 115 Arrow Drive, Marietta, reported his father Samuel, age 51, attempted to spray him in the face with bug spray. Mr. McCauley said his father became angry because he took a drink from a pitcher in the refrigerator rather than using a glass. During a brief argument that followed the elder McCauley grabbed the spray can and sprayed it toward his son’s face. Mr. McCauley stated he was able to turn his head before suffering serious injury and threw an avocado at his father in retaliation. Mr. McCauley’s father then began tearing the coaxial cable from the baseboard of his son’s room and punched a hole in a bedroom wall. Elaborating further, Mr. McCauley said that he felt his father was attempting to physically harm him when spraying the bug spray toward his face. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Samuel McCauley for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
