On 19 Mar 11 a forty-six year old Marietta resident reported she believes a nursing home aide intentionally injured her seventy-four year old mother. Interviewing the victim and alleged suspect, Deputy Sheriff Smeeks concluded the aide did not intentionally injure the victim. As a result, Deputy Smeeks closed this case as unfounded.

On 19 Mar 11 Estelle Gallagher, age 83, 417 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, reported her grandson Eric Edgar, age 26, same address, took her vehicle without permission. Ms. Gallagher said her grandson drove her to the hospital on 15 Mar and she asked him to return the car to her residence and not to drive it. However, when she was released from the hospital on 19 Mar the vehicle was not at her residence. Mr. Edgar returned the vehicle prior to the arrival of Deputy Sheriff Reeder but fled into the woods when Deputy Reeder arrived. At the request of Ms. Gallagher, Deputy Reeder requested a warrant for Mr. Edgar for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

On 19 Mar 11 Jena L. Stewart, age 21, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 5B, New Matamoras, reported she was at the Bada Bing with her boyfriend Bryan Eddy, age 19, 3053 Archers Fork Road, New Matamoras, when a quarrel erupted. Ms. Stewart said she exchanged words with the mother of her boyfriend’s child, Victoria Dunn, age 20, 85 Dunn Lane, New Matamoras, and Ms. Dunn subsequently grabbed her hair and punched her several times from behind. Ms. Stewart punched Ms. Dunn in retaliation before Mr. Eddy and Ms. Dunn’s father, Norman, age 48, separated the two. When he attempted to intervene, Mr. Eddy stated Mr. Dunn and Ms. Dunn both intentionally struck him in the face. Approximately a half hour later Ms. Dunn allegedly instigated another altercation, during which she and Ms. Stewart struck each other numerous times. Mr. Eddy stated Mr. Dunn attacked him again as well and briefly wrestled him to the floor. The parties were eventually separated and no additional incidents occurred. Based on information obtained during his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested summonses for Ms. Stewart for disorderly conduct by fighting and for Mr. Dunn for assault. Deputy Reeder also requested a warrant for Ms. Dunn for domestic violence a summons for her for disorderly conduct by fighting.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Crystal Dawn Bates, age 32, 3065 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Bates was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 11 at 4:20 am.

Aaron Michael Lane, age 23, 3089 Carpenters Run Road, Waverly, WV, for .17 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Lane was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 11 at 6:03 am.

Peter Andrew Bowersock, age 25, 25675 State Route 26, New Matamoras, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, a misdemeanor. Bowersock was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Babb of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 11 at 11:20 pm.

Amen Gregory Dunn, age 24, 707 Second Street, New Matamoras, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, a misdemeanor. Dunn was arrested in New Matamoras by Patrolman Babb of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 11 at 11:20 pm.
