On 13 Mar 11 Anthony Kimball, age 23, 38215 State Route 7, Newport, reported he was involved in an altercation his child’s mother at his residence that afternoon. At his residence to discuss their relationship, Mr. Kimball said Barbara L. Cupp, age 18, 2752 Mount Carmel Road, Saint Marys, became upset because he planned to go out with friends that evening. Growing increasingly angry, Ms. Cupp refused to leave the residence after being repeatedly asked and punched Mr. Kimball in the face several times. Mr. Kimball stated he was forced to restrain Ms. Cupp until she calmed down and he released her shortly thereafter. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff Carr, Ms. Cupp claimed Mr. Kimball choked her and struck her in the face two dozen times. Unable to find evidence of injury on Ms. Cupp or to otherwise substantiate her allegations, Deputy Carr requested a summons for Ms. Cupp for domestic violence.

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Robert Michael McKinney, age 23, 4495 Chicken Coop Road, Sugar Grove, OH, for felony and misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. McKinney was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Freed of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Mar 11 at 7:24 am.
