Archive of 03-03-11

On 3 Mar 11 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff Anderson were dispatched to the scene of an altercation involving several suspects at 307 Barnett Ridge Road, Belpre. Beginning during an argument over family issues, the fracas initially involved three females and later involved a male subject who was visiting the scene. None of the involved parties desired to pursue charges as a result of the incident. There were no injuries reported.

On 3 Mar 11 a thirty-two year old Newport resident reported an acquaintance sent him a threatening text message after being asked to not contact him any further. This case remains under investigation (608).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Jeremy M. Charlton, age 30, 822 Belrock Avenue Apt. 6, Belpre, for failing to appear for a restitution hearing on 16 Feb 11.

William J. Dennison, age 28, 52 Saint Andrews Boulevard, Belpre, for failing to complete a Driver’s Diversion Program.

Eric C. Edgar, age 26, 417 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment, for failing to show proof of completing a Driver Intervention Program and for failing to show proof of completing an assessment/counseling.

Leslie S. Klein, age 19, 908 Storys Run Road, Cheshire, OH, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear for a scheduled appointment and for failing to show proof of completing an assessment/counseling.

Allen E. Winer, age 32, 341 Tadpole Run Road, Belpre, for failing to complete a Driver’s Diversion Program.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Ngai, age 38, 106 Eldorado Drive, Marietta, for an income tax violation, a misdemeanor. Ngai was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 11 at 2:38 am.

David Houston Hemmings, age 25, 2100 Hill Street Apt. B, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hemmings was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hunter of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 11 at 6:48 am.

Ramiro Perez Jr., age 18, 229 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for intimidation and for two counts of menacing, all misdemeanors. Perez was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 11 at 5:51 pm.

Joseph Allen Wentland III, age 27, 20 Townsend Drive, Malta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Wentland was picked up at the Morgan County line by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 11 at 6:27 pm.

Blake Taylor Layman, age 22, 112 Holly Street, Marietta, for disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor. Layman was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Mar 11 at 11:31 pm.
