On 15 Feb 11 the vice principal at Warren High School reported a student informed him that a female student offered him one of her prescription pills. A consensual search of the student’s belongings yielded eight and a half Zoloft pills that were later verified as being prescribed to the sixteen year old Belpre resident. The teenager will not face charges for possessing the pills but she was suspended for her behavior toward the assistant principal. During the incident the student was extremely disrespectful, yelling, cursing and “getting in the face” of the assistant principal (500).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nathaniel Godfrey Jr., age 35, 1405 Fairfax Road, Greensboro, NC, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and for a misdemeanor charge of speeding. Godfrey was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Feb 11 at 4:51 am.

William Eugene Deford Jr., age 39, 808 Front Street, Marietta, for breach of recognizance and possession of drugs, both felonies. Deford was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Feb 11 at 10:50 am.

Michael Dale Valentine, age 32, 305 Harmar Street, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Valentine was picked up at the Noble County Jail by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Feb 11 at 10:50 am.

Shawn Michael Winstanley, age 23, 721 Celia Street, Parkersburg, for falsification, a misdemeanor. Winstanley was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Feb 11 at 2:20 pm.

James William Black, age 22, 300 Fourth Street, Beverly, for a felony charge of passing bad checks and for misdemeanor charges of contempt for failing to pay fines and passing bad checks. Black was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Freed of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Feb 11 at 5:41 pm.

Phillip Andrew Martin, age 22, 5380 Johnson Ridge Road, Waterford, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Martin was arrested in Juvenile Court and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Feb 11 at 6:00 pm.
