On 11 Feb 11 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Jason T. Stemple, age 36, 4754 State Route 555, Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct by intoxication. A resident on Deming Road in Barlow reported Mr. Stemple parked his vehicle in her driveway and refused to leave her property. Questioning Mr. Stemple, Deputy Smeeks noticed he had a strong odor of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. Deputy Smeeks contacted a family member of Mr. Stemple, who arranged to transport Mr. Stemple and his vehicle from the scene.

On 11 Feb 11 an attendance officer for Ohio Valley Educational Service Center reported the parent of a Frontier Middle School student appears to have altered an excuse slip from a medical office in Marietta. This case remains under investigation (1209).

On 11 Feb 11 a sixteen year old Waterford High School student reported he was about to drive his mother’s Ford truck home from school when he discovered the brakes weren’t functioning. Looking under the truck, the student said the truck’s brake line appears to have been cut while he was attending class. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 11 Feb 11 an employee of River Park Manor Apartments, 101 Evans Street, New Matamoras, reported an individual obtained a credit card for the company and made a number of unauthorized transactions at a local business. This case remains under investigation (1209).

On 11 Feb 11 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested a warrant for Tyler J. McMahan, age 18, 2003 Barth Road, Belpre, for telecommunications harassment. Released from jail less than an hour earlier after serving a month and a half in jail on charges including telephone harassment, Mr. McMahan sent a number of unwanted text messages to his ex-girlfriend. A condition of Mr. McMahan’s release dictated that he not have contact with the victim and the victim repeatedly requested for Mr. McMahan to cease contacting her.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ronald Bruce Sheridan, age 39, 306 Putnam Avenue, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Sheridan was arrested in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Schubert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Feb 11 at 2:06 am.

Jonathan James Hall, age 23, 194 Davis Road, Waterford, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hall was arrested by Patrolman Nohe at the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Feb 11 at 2:34 am.

Shawn Antonia Williams, age 20, 307 Maple Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of tampering with evidence and for misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing, obstructing official business and illegally discharging a firearm. Williams was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Feb 11 at 3:50 am.

Nicole Lynn Fusee, age 36, 6985 1/23 State Route 329, Guysville, OH, for OVI and failure to control, both misdemeanors. Fusee was arrested on State Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Feb 11 at 5:30 am.

Andy Ray Lance, age 23, 2378 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Lance was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Feb 11 at 11:45 am.

James Clair Schwendeman, age 27, 405 Park Avenue, Williamstown, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Schwendeman was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Feb 11 at 3:06 pm.
