On 9 Feb 11 Paul Schaad, age 56, 17328 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, reported he was involved in an altercation with his son at their farm at 17110 Muskingum River Road. Arguing over whether or not to hire an excavator and to build a manure storage building, Mr. Schaad said his son Sion T. Schaad, age 34, same address, grabbed him by the shirt and shoved him to the ground. Mr. Schaad stated his son pinned him to the ground with his knee and he heard his shoulder pop. Sion then released his father and departed in his vehicle. Mr. Schaad drove himself to the hospital and was released after receiving treatment for a separated shoulder. Deputy Sheriff Caltrider later located Sion, arrested him for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 9 Feb 11 Britney Perrera, age 24, 1046 Hocking Road, Little Hocking, reported she entered into a verbal land contract to purchase the home of a friend in Marietta who is out of the country performing missionary work. Ms. Perrera said she wired the friend a deposit but the friend would not provide the keys until she sent more money. Consulting with the Prosecutor’s Office, Deputy Sheriff Caltrider closed this case after determining it was a civil matter.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Alan Ray Augenstein, age 49, 170 Riverview Lane, Lowell, for a felony charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and for a misdemeanor charge of OVI. Augenstein was arrested in Lowell by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 11 at 2:33 am.

John Julius Smith, age 28, 280 Chase Street Apt. B, Columbus, for three counts of trafficking in drugs and for three counts of possession of drugs, all felonies. Smith was picked up in Franklin County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 11 at 3:06 pm.

Sion Thomas Schaad, age 34, 17328 Muskingum River Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Schaad was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Feb 11 at 5:26 pm.
