On 29 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriffs Deem and Rhodes responded to a domestic altercation in the upper apartment at 600 Main Street, Waterford. An anonymous call reported hearing loud banging and a female screaming. Interviewed by Deputy Deem, the victim, Meghan E. Dorset, age 22, stated her live-in boyfriend Timothy Ryan, age 20, was intoxicated and an argument erupted over family matters. Growing increasingly angered, Mr. Ryan punched several holes in walls and threw several glasses at the walls. When she sought refuge in their bedroom, Ms. Dorset said Mr. Ryan broke through the locked door, causing the door to strike her in the face. Questioning the suspect, the Deputies noticed Mr. Ryan had bloody knuckles on both of his hands and an odor of alcohol. Based on their investigation, Deputy Deem arrested Mr. Ryan for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 29 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriff Anderson responded to the scene of death of a fifty-six year old Stockport resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 29 Jan 11 MaRyan S. Touvell, age 27, 18373 State Route 339, Waterford, reported she was involved in a brief altercation with her estranged ex-husband while the two met to exchange custody of their son at White Oak Pharmacy on 27 Jan. Deputy Sheriff Simmons is attempting to locate and interview witnesses to further clarify the incident’s sequence of events. As a result, this case remains under investigation.

On 29 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested summonses for a sixteen year Marietta resident and a fifteen year old Lowell resident to appear in Juvenile Court on charges of delinquency by criminal damaging. A neighbor of the sixteen year old reported hearing what sounded like a gunshot and later discovered bullet holes in the siding of his home, in two vehicles, in the rear of his camper and in his front door. Questioned by Deputy Simmons, the teenagers said they were shooting at targets and subsequently decided to intentionally shoot the neighbor’s cars.
