Archive of 01-23-11

On 23 Jan 11 an employee of White Oak Retirement Home, &0 White Oak Woods Drive, Vincent, reported sometime between 6 pm on 22 Jan and 6 pm the following day an unknown suspect(s) broke the passenger side window of a resident’s Chevy Cavalier. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 23 Jan 11 Scott Pasco, age 29, 271 Walnut Drive, Whipple, reported his father instigated an argument when he arrived for a family dinner at his home. Mr. Pasco said his father refused to leave the residence after the incident began and was forced outside the home by other family members. This case remains under investigation (712).

On 23 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded to the scene of death of an eighty-two year old Marietta resident. Though the man’s death does not appear to be suspicious, this case remains under investigation.

On 23 Jan 11 Patricia A. Hummel, age 32, 13A Briar Cliff Drive, Cambridge, reported the previous day she was involved in two separate domestic disputes with her live-in boyfriend John J. Stone, age 30, 5359 Waterford Road, Marietta. Ms. Hummel stated the first incident occurred at a residence on Huck Road in Lowell after she confronted Mr. Stone during an argument he was having with her son. Ms. Hummel said Mr. Stone shoved her, rolled paint across the side of her face, threatened to kill her and slapped her. Later in the evening, Ms. Hummel said she was at Mr. Stone’s residence where she formerly resided with him when he punched her in the face. Ms. Hummel commented that Mr. Stone has abused her in the past and that she feared for her safety during the incidents. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested Mr. Stone for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Gregory Chuck Wheeler, age 34, 494 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Belleville, WV, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and for misdemeanor charges of theft, criminal trespassing, falsification and obstructing official business. Wheeler was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Saho of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jan 11 at 1:05 am.

Dwaine Allen Cline, age 51, 500 13th Street Apt. 38, Parkersburg, for a felony charge of failing to periodically verify his address as a registered sex offender and for misdemeanor charges of theft and criminal trespassing. Cline was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jan 11 at 2:45 am.

John Joby Stone, age 30, 5359 Waterford Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Stone was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jan 11 at 4:48 pm.

Emily Anne Reiser, age 20, 1417 Beaver Road, Sewickley, PA, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Reiser was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jan 11 at 6:10 pm.

David Sean Hickman, age 21, 1002 Colony West Drive, Moon Township, PA, for a felony charge of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of speeding. Hickman was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jan 11 at 6:28 pm.
