Archive of 01-18-11

On 18 Jan 11 an employee of MIE, 445 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered the control room at the business’ milling building and stole a total of sixteen pairs of gloves and two fire extinguishers. This case remains under investigation (1293).

On 18 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriff Reeder responded to a domestic dispute at the residence of Michael Davis, age 43, and his live-in girlfriend Lori Oliver, age 40, at 127 River Road, Marietta. Mr. Davis said he was unhappy with what Ms. Oliver’s computer usage and what sites she was visiting on the internet so he unplugged the computer. Angered by his actions, Mr. Davis stated his girlfriend was “going crazy” and punched him in the nose several times. When questioned, Ms. Oliver admitted shoving Mr. Davis but claimed any blow to his nose was incidental when she pushed him. Based on his investigation, Deputy Reeder arrested Ms. Oliver for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 18 Jan 11 Betsy L. Moore, age 53, 3977 State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) removed an antique corn planter from a building on her property. Deputy Sheriff Smeeks located the machinery a short distance away and tracked shoeprints to a nearby residence. Questioned about the shoeprints, the suspect said he intended to ask the planter’s owner for permission to scrap the item but never did. Deputy Smeeks is attempting to identify the suspect’s accomplice prior to filing charges in this case.

On 18 Jan 11 the owner of the Dunham Car Wash, 3876 State Route 339, Belpre, reported at some point between 8 pm on 17 Jan and 5:30 am on 18 Jan an unknown suspect(s) pried open the car wash’s coupon machine and removed all of the cash. This case remains under investigation 1293).

On 18 Jan 11 Donald Stotler, age 72, 300 Starlite Drive Lot 30, Marietta, reported he parked a 1994 model travel trailer in the back parking lot of 156 Starlite Drive and the trailer was stolen sometime during the early morning hours of 18 Jan. This case remains under investigation (1104).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Lori Ann Oliver, age 41, 127 River Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Oliver was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jan 11 at 5:45 am.

Travis Eugene Wineman, age 31, 211 ½ 11th Street, Parkersburg, for receiving stolen property, a felony. Wineman was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jan 11 at 11:30 am.

Patricia Jeannet Cottrill, age 31, 307 Maple Street, Marietta, for contempt for failing to pay fines and for passing bad checks, both misdemeanors. Cottrill was arrested on Caywood Road in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Schubert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jan 11 at 11:35 am.

Dalton Corey Drummond, age 18, 924 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, for breaking and entering, a felony. Drummond was arrested at the courthouse by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jan 11 at 1:25 pm.

Brandon Paul Marino, age 24, 2484 Queen City Avenue, Cincinnati, for felony charges of aggravated burglary, rape, sexual battery, burglary and rape and for a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct by intoxication. Marino was picked up at the Pickaway Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jan 11 at 1:25 pm.
