On 17 Jan 11 Christopher M. Scott, age 32,
458 Jones Road, Waterford, reported at some point during the
past week an unknown suspect(s) cut the locks of his three storage
units at State Route 60 Mini Storage at 19280 State Route 60,
Beverly. In addition to miscellaneous Craftsman tools, Mr. Scott
stated two aluminum wheels were stolen from his storage units.
A second renter reported a toolbox drawer containing a socket
set and power steering items were stolen from her storage unit.
This case remains under investigation (1104).
On 17 Jan 11 Marvin D. Cowan, age 69, 920 Lake
Road, Belpre, reported he was away from his residence between
3 pm and 5:30 pm and at some point during that time two rifles
were stolen from his bedroom closet. This case remains under
On 17 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded
to the scene of death of a seventy-eight year old Belpre resident.
The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no
foul play is suspected.
On 17 Jan 11 the Devola Fire Department transported
a sixteen year old Lowell resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital
for treatment to a possible overdose. The teenager was reportedly
having relationship problems and ingested a large amount of
over the counter ibuprofen. She is expected to recover fully

Shelby Suelynn Dewitt, age 23, 46091 State
Route 7, New Matamoras, for driving under a suspended license,
a misdemeanor. Dewitt was arrested on Pike Street by Deputy
Sheriff Schubert and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 17 Jan 11 at 3:45 pm.
Seth Thomas Adams, age 25, 989 Mitchells Lane,
Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Adams was arrested near
the intersection of Fifth and Washington streets by Patrolman
Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jan 11 at 5:20 pm.
Richard Paul Bohl, age 43, 6585 State Route
676, Stockport, for OVI and for driving under a suspended license,
both misdemeanors. Bohl was arrested on Fifth Street by Patrolman
Maze of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Jan 11 at 9:36 pm.
