On 15 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Richard E. Ogden II, age 31, 6400 Ellis Run Road, Stockport, on State Route 339 near Sweet Apple Road. Stopping Mr. Ogden for traveling left of center, Deputy Rhodes noticed a large amount of blood on Mr. Ogden’s face. Mr. Ogden had a bump and large laceration on his head and a laceration on his elbow. Questioned about his injuries, Mr. Ogden said he was involved in a domestic dispute with his father in Morgan County and that his mother struck him with a baseball bat to break up the altercation. Mr. Ogden also had an odor of alcohol and admitted consuming beer and whiskey earlier in the evening. The Barlow Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Mr. Ogden to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment. As a result of the traffic stop, Deputy Rhodes charged Mr. Ogden with OVI, driving left of center, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and improperly transporting a firearm. In Mr. Ogden’s vehicle Deputy Rhodes discovered a marijuana pipe, a small amount of marijuana and a loaded shotgun.

On 15 Jan 11 Deputy Sheriff McLeish issued a citation to Zachary D. Debrular, age 20, 1103 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy McLeish stopped originally Mr. Debrular for having an inoperable headlight on State Route 26 near County House Lane in Marietta Township.

On 15 Jan 11 a teacher at Warren Elementary School, 16855 State Route 550, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the school. Inside the school the suspect(s) pried open soft drink machines, broke windows and stole several power tools. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 15 Jan 11 an employee of Heiss’ Plumbing, 314 Third Street, Lowell, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) broke a chain to enter a storage building behind the business and stole an unknown amount of scrap copper wire. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 15 Jan 11 an employee of Professional Auto Parts, 20101 State Route 339, Waterford, reported at some point between 6:30 pm on 14 Jan and 7:30 am on 15 Jan an unknown suspect(s) pried open the soft drink machine at the business and stole the coins from the coin box. This case remains under investigation (610).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Cameron Wesley Barton, age 21, 843 Greene Street Apt. C, Marietta, for a felony charge of aggravated burglary and for misdemeanor charges of aggravated trespassing, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Barton was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jan 11 at 12:50 am.

James Mark Lemoine, age 30, 2918 La Branch, Houston, TX, for OVI and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Lemoine was arrested on Pike Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jan 11 at 2:10 am.

David Michael Kausky, age 28, 324 Commercial Alley, Steubenville, OH, for a felony charge of failure to periodically verify his address as a registered sex offender and for a misdemeanor charge of driving under a suspended license. Kausky was arrested in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jan 11 at 11:07 am.

Ricky Dee Hines, age 49, 271 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Hines was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jan 11 at 5:27 pm.

Shawn Anthony Rosbough, age 29, 602 Washington Square, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Rosbough was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jan 11 at 6:52 pm.
