Archive of 12-28-10

On 28 Dec 10 James E. Corder, age 44, 19113 State Route 821, Macksburg, reported a brief dispute occurred outside his residence when the father of his girlfriend’s son was returning the boy after visitation. Mr. Corder said he approached the vehicle to retrieve the child and the child’s father accelerated the vehicle, briefly bumping him and causing him to fall to the ground. Deputy Sheriff Simmons interviewed the alleged suspect and is attempting to further clarify the sequence of events.

On 28 Dec 10 Deputy Sheriff Mankins charged Randy J. Scott Jr., age 28, 35 Maple Street Apt. 2, Newport, with three counts of violating the terms of a protection order. While an inmate in the Washington County Jail, Mr. Scott phoned his grandmother on three occasions between 6 Dec and 10 Dec and asked her to phone his former live-in girlfriend, who was a victim in a domestic violence case. The victim obtained a protection order as a result of the case that forbids Mr. Scott from using any means to contact her.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Albert Bell, age 18, 10 Browns Road Apt. 4B, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol on 23 Nov 10.

Michelle C. Mace, age 32, 109 Wooster Street, Marietta, for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for arraignment on 17 Dec 10.

Gary L. Black, age 48, 300 Fourth Street Apt. A, Beverly, for violating the terms of a protection order on 22 Dec 10.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joseph Lee Greathouse, age 24, 707 Front Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Greathouse was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Dec 10 at 2:33 am.

Joshua Douglas Dowler, age 30, 1803 Liberty Street, Parkersburg, for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor. Dowler was arrested on Fourth Street by Patrolman Dewitt of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Dec 10 at 10:54 am.

Mark Shane McGraw, age 51, 985 Bradford Road, Elyria, OH, for OVI, speeding, for being in possession of an open container of alcohol and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. McGraw was arrested near milepost six on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Dec 10 at 3:17 pm.

Nick Roscoe Blackburn Jr., age 27, 573 Fifth Street, Parkersburg, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Blackburn was picked up at the South Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Tornes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Dec 10 at 4:28 pm.
