On 5 Dec 10 Mary Wolfe, age 32, 35 Maple Street Apt. 2, Newport, reported she was involved in an altercation with her live-in boyfriend Randy J. Scott Jr., age 27. Arguing over the fact that Mr. Scott was speaking to his ex-girlfriend, Ms. Wolfe said Mr. Scott would not allow her to leave their home. When she did try to flee, Ms. Wolfe said her boyfriend dragged her by the hair back inside. Mr. Scott then shoved Ms. Wolfe into a wall and later threatened to kill her when he gets out of jail. Questioned about the incident, Mr. Scott denied assaulting Ms. Wolfe and claimed he only damaged her mobile phone during the altercation. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Mr. Scott for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 5 Dec 10 Laura T. Gay, age 48, 425 Dudding Avenue, Hurricane, WV, was traveling southbound on Interstate 77 near milepost fourteen when she attempted to pull to the side of the road because of decreasing visibility in the snowy conditions. As she slowed, Ms. Gay’s Volkswagen sedan began to slide and then struck the guardrail. The crash caused functional damage to the front passenger side fender of the vehicle.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Randy Joe Scott Jr., age 27, 20 Maple Street, Newport, for domestic violence, a felony. Scott was arrested in Newport by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 Dec 10 at 12:05 pm.
