On 27 Nov 10 Steven King, age 45, 35 Lawnsdale Drive, Belpre, reported his live-in girlfriend Marthanna Savage, age 42, arrived home intoxicated and started a fight. During the dispute Ms. Savage struck Mr. King in the face, leaving a laceration on his forehead. Questioned about Mr. King’s injury, Ms. Savage accused her boyfriend of hitting himself to get her in trouble. Deputy Sheriff Lockhart concluded Ms. Savage’s allegation was unbelievable. Consequently, Deputy Lockhart arrested Ms. Savage for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 27 Nov 10 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued a citation to a sixteen year old Cutler resident for operating a vehicle without a license or a learner’s permit. Stopped at the intersection of State Route 550 and State Route 339 in Barlow Township, the teenager was operating a vehicle owned by the front seat passenger, Monica B. Floyd, age 32, 18153 State Route 555, Cutler. For allowing the juvenile to operate a vehicle, Ms. Floyd was issued a citation for wrongful entrustment.

On 27 Nov 10 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Carl D. Mounts, age 31, 723 Mitchell Avenue Apt. 4A, Beverly, for OVI, for being in possession of an open container of alcohol and for following another vehicle too closely. Stopped for following a car length behind another vehicle as the speed zone dropped from 55 mph to 45 mph on State Route 550, Mr. Mounts had an odor of alcohol. Mr. Mounts stated he consumed two beers and gave Deputy Mankins permission to search the vehicle. In the vehicle Deputy Mankins located an open bottle of vodka with a small amount of liquid spilled underneath it. Following his poor performance on field sobriety tests Mr. Mounts was transported to the Washington County Jail. At the jail Mr. Mounts tested .094 BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Allen Bruffy, age 53, 1174 Derbydale Road, Akron, for OVI, reckless operation, disorderly conduct and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Bruffy was arrested near milepost three on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 10 at 2:14 am.

Marthanna Gayle Savage, age 42, 35 Lawnsdale Drive, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Savage was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 10 at 2:50 am.

Edward Larry Moyers Jr., age 42, 268 Wigal Road, Bellville, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor. Moyers was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 10 at 3:57 pm.

Michael Joseph Littleton, age 22, 721 ½ Fourth Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Littleton was arrested on Second Street by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 10 at 6:15 pm.

Carl Daniel Mounts, age 31, 723 Mitchell Avenue Apt. 4A, Beverly, for OVI and for following another vehicle too closely, both misdemeanors. Mounts was arrested on State Route 550 in Barlow by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 10 at 6:45 pm.

Robert Clark Hoy, age 50, 105 Rauch Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hoy was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 10 at 7:20 pm.
