On 25 Nov 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for Tabitha D. Way, age 29, 9150 State Route 550, Vincent, for assault. In the late afternoon Ms. Way appeared at the residence of Lori Leedy, age 43, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent, and demanded Ms. Leedy return a carpet cleaner she borrowed. When Ms. Leedy answered Ms. Way’s knock at the door, Ms. Way reportedly attacked Ms. Leedy, grabbing her hair and striking her in the head. Though Ms. Way claimed she was the victim of the assault, a witness confirmed Ms. Way initiated the altercation.

On 25 Nov 10 Brooke M. Crawford, age 29, 1572 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, reported she was involved in a domestic dispute with her live-in boyfriend. Speaking to both parties, Deputy Sheriff Carr concluded the incident was only verbal and that neither party feared for their safety. As a result, Deputy Carr closed this case as unfounded.

On 25 Nov 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested summonses for Colton L. Reed, age 20, 647 Reed Road, Vincent, and Levi V. Strauss, age 20, 3415 Hickman Road, Waterford, for theft and criminal damaging. An investigation revealed Mr. Reed and Mr. Strauss used a hammer to break the window of a pickup truck parked at the intersection of State Route 339 and State Route 676 on 28 Oct 10. When questioned, Mr. Reed and Mr. Strauss stated after they broke the window they stole a GPS unit, a CD player, a coat and loose change.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joseph Lee Slider, age 20, 120 Warner Street Apt. C, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, breach of recognizance and falsification, all misdemeanors. Slider was arrested near the intersection of Market and Harmar streets by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 10 at 12:19 am.
