On 30 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested a summons for a seventeen year old Marietta resident to appear in Juvenile Court on charges of delinquency by underage consumption of alcohol and possession of alcohol. Stopped on State Route 550 for operating a vehicle without a front license plate, the juvenile had a slight odor of alcohol. The juvenile admitted consuming one beer and tested below the .02 underage OVI level. A consensual search of the vehicle yielded six cans of beer that the juvenile said he took from a friend’s parents’ refrigerator without permission.

On 30 Oct 10 the Warren Fire Department transported Jeremy J. Kesselring, age 33, 924 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to minor injuries suffered in an ATV accident. Riding the ATV on property located at 105 Wentz Road, Marietta, turned the vehicle too quickly, causing the ATV to roll over him. Mr. Kesselring suffered minor injuries, including a cut on his forehead and a scrape on his right arm (1293).

On 30 Oct 10 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Jackson L. Hennes, age 41, 2280 Veto Road, Vincent, for traveling 69 mph in a 55 mph zone. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Mr. Hennes near milepost fifteen on State Route 339 in Watertown Township.

On 30 Oct 10 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Jason M. Rowe, age 30, 127 Ohio Boulevard, Marietta, for operating a vehicle with a registration that expired on 6 Oct 10. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Mr. Rowe on State Route 60 near Colegate Drive in Marietta.

On 30 Oct 10 David W. Lemon, age 45, 747 Stephens Fork Road, Mineral Wells, WV, was life-flighted to Charleston Medical Center following a twenty-five foot fall from a tree stand at 4700 State Route 555, Little Hocking. Emergency responders from the Little Hocking Fire Department believe Mr. Lemon suffered a broken hip and possibly a broken wrist and recommended he be life-flighted in case he had severe internal injuries (1293).

On 30 Oct 10 the Warren Fire Department transported a thirty-three year old Marietta resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to what appeared to be a drug overdose. At the hospital the victim stated he ingested cocaine along with his prescribed methadone in an attempt to take his life. Emergency room personnel commented that the victim did not likely overdose but suffered from a reaction involving the two drugs (1293).

On 30 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded to the scene of death of a forty-eight year old Little Hocking resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Barbette Ann McCarty, age 45, 3545 State Route 530, Lowell, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. McCarty was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 10 at 6:50 am.

Michael Evan Thompson, age 26, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Fields of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 10 at 11:10 am.
