On 25 Oct 10 the owner of Bartlett Mini Storage, 1380 State Route 550, Amesville, reported the padlocks were cut off seven units at the facility. Contacting the renters, Deputy Sheriff Smeeks determined the only property of value that was missing was a nonfunctional ATV that was stored in one of the units utilized by the owner. This case remains under investigation.

On 25 Oct 10 Max Dana, age 74, 59 Front Drive, New Matamoras, reported sometime between 19 Oct and 22 Oct an unknown suspect(s) entered his vehicle and stole a GPS unit, a satellite radio receiver and a garage door opener. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 25 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart investigated an anonymous report of elderly abuse in Belpre. Deputy Lockhart was unable to fully interview the alleged victim due to the fact that the caregivers would repeatedly interfere with his questioning. Adult Protective Services was contacted and will assist in investigating the matter further.

On 25 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested a summons for a fifteen year old Marietta resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by domestic violence. An argument erupted between the teenager and her mother over the fact that a family friend has been living with them for an extended period of time. A minor scuffle outside their home resulted in coffee being accidentally spilled on the teenager and exacerbated the situation. The teenager then struck her mother in the head several times. Questioned by Deputy Reeder, the juvenile said her mother ignores her and she believes their family friend is flirting with her boyfriend. The teenager stated she did not intend to strike her mother but when the coffee was spilled on her she snapped.

On 25 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued a citation to William J. Dennison, age 28, 1301 Market Street Apt. 5, Parkersburg, for driving under a suspended license and for traveling 70 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Lockhart stopped Mr. Dennison on US 50 near State Route 339 in Belpre Township.

On 25 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued a citation to Shayna R. Shriver, age 18, 1242 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, for failure to obey a traffic control device. Deputy Lockhart stopped Ms. Shriver after she failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of State Route 60 and Walnut Street in Lowell.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Justin Lee O’Brien, age 34, 14735 Waterford Road, Waterford, for direct contempt, a misdemeanor. O’Brien was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Oct 10 at 9:20 am.

Jonathan Ross McAllister, age 23, 109 Maple Street Apt. 1, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, reckless operation, operating a vehicle with fictitious plates and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. McAllister was arrested on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Oct 10 at 6:44 pm.

Staci Lynn Milner, age 45, 306 Putnam Avenue, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Milner was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Oct 10 at 8:39 pm.

Ronald Bruce Sheridan, age 39, 306 Putnam Avenue, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Sheridan was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Oct 10 at 8:45 pm.
