On 24 Oct 10 Zach J. Chovan, age 39, 105 Ellsworth
Drive, Marietta, reported he was involved in a verbal dispute
with his wife. Arguing over their children, neither Mr. Chovan
nor his wife feared for their safety during the incident. As
a result, Deputy Sheriff Carr closed this case as unfounded.
On 24 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
a summons for a sixteen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court on charges of delinquency by possession of
marijuana and possession of drugs. The teenager’s mother
reported she found a snuff can in her son’s bedroom that
contained marijuana and three prescription ibuprofen pills her
son was not prescribed. Questioned about the items, the teenager
said he purchased the contraband at school and has been smoking
marijuana and consuming pills for over a year.
On 24 Oct 10 Richard L. Best, age 60, 203 Woodrow
Street, Marietta, reported at some point during the past five
days an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered his garage and stole
an impact driver, a battery charger, three batteries, a spray
paint kit and several air impact tools. Mr. Best estimates the
value of the stolen items is in excess of $500. This case remains
under investigation (296).

James William Brown, age 25, 105 Hickory Street,
Lower Salem, for assault, a misdemeanor. Brown was arrested
on Tennis Center Drive by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Oct 10 at 12:17 am.
Howard Earl Crouch, age 38, 165 Killwell Run
Road, Marietta, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony.
Crouch was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Oct 10 at 1:15 am.
Gregory Brent Travis, age 49, Route 1 Box 142B,
Given, WV, for OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors.
Travis was arrested near milepost fifteen on State Route 339
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Oct 10 at 8:20 am.
Alison Blake Seevers, age 23, 632 Lovers Lane,
Beverly, for OVI, possession of drug paraphernalia and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Seevers
was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Oct 10 at
