On 23 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson arrested James W. Brown, age 25, 105 Hickory Street, Lower Salem, for assault. Visiting his girlfriend’s apartment on Tennis Center Drive in Marietta after a night of drinking, Mr. Brown confronted a sixteen year old Marietta resident in the apartment complex’s parking. A relative of Mr. Brown’s girlfriend, the teenager stated he was speaking to his aunt when Mr. Brown exited an apartment and began yelling at him and threatening him. The teenager said Mr. Brown grabbed him and started punching him so he struck Mr. Brown in retaliation. Mr. Brown claimed the teenager initiated the confrontation but a witness contradicted Mr. Brown’s statement.

On 23 Oct 10 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Madonna Foss, age 39, 3851 N. Early Ridge Road, McConnelsville, for failing to obey a traffic control device. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Ms. Foss after she failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of State Route 60 and Walnut Street in Lowell.

On 23 Oct 10 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Ronald E. Spring, age 45, 3170 Wesley Chapel, Zanesville, for failing to obey a traffic control device. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Mr. Spring after he failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of State Route 60 and Walnut Street in Lowell.

On 23 Oct 10 Michael W. Noland, age 37, 15 Robinson Lane, Marietta, reported a motorized barstool with a Crown Royal seat was stolen from an open shelter near his camper at the Landings Campground sometime between 21 Oct and 23 Oct. This case remains under investigation (790).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Mark Lee Duskey, age 43, 1945 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Duskey was arrested near the intersection of Third and Scammel streets by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Oct 10 at 1:07 am.

Chad Robert Gabreski, age 22, 3329 Route 430, Bemus Point, NY, for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Gabreski was arrested near milepost thirteen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Oct 10 at 4:32 am.

Cory Michael Parker, age 18, 200 Pennock Street Lot 48, Beverly, for assault, a misdemeanor. Parker was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hornbeck of Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Oct 10 at 9:25 am.

Aimee Renee Doak, age 36, 1000 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for OVI and for failure to control, both misdemeanors. Doak was arrested on County House Lane by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Oct 10 at 1:39 pm.

Shane Michael Hardie, age 34, 105 Leland Avenue, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Hardie was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Oct 10 at 3:59 pm.

Jessica Lynn Stevens, age 29, 735 Eighth Street, Marietta, for failure to appear and for breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Stevens was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Oct 10 at 9:47 pm.
