On 21 Oct 10 Lt. Gherke and the Little Hocking Fire Department responded to a minor brush fire at 1041 State Route 618, Little Hocking. Approximately a half acre of dry brush burnt after it was ignited by workers dismantling a semi-trailer with a cutting torch. The Little Hocking fire chief agreed that the cause of the fire was accidental and did not require further investigation.

On 21 Oct 10 the owner of Ash Hanson flowers, 101 Hanson Drive, Marietta, reported she received a phone call from her bank stating an unknown suspect(s) attempted to use her business’ credit card to make nine purchases. Believing the $314 in charges were fraudulent, the bank did not process the charges. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 21 Oct 10 Lt. Stackpole and the Devola Fire Department responded to a small fire in an old outhouse on property utilized by the Washington County Highway Department at 151 Masonic Park Lane, Marietta. The fire department removed a large wad of paper from the outhouse and extinguished it without incident. The fire caused only minor damage.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

William R. Adams, age 35, 9550 State Route 550, Vincent, for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $449.

Adam J. Black, age 30, 510 S. Seventh Street, Cambridge, for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $555.10.

June D. Garrick, age 51, 832 Tresch Road, Fleming, for failing to file Marietta city taxes for 2008.

Joshua L. Gore, age 22, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for failing to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,223.30.

Melissa A. McElroy, 502 Stone Road, Belpre, for failing to pay Marietta city taxes for the year 2008.

Starla F. Tabler, age 40, 66 Madison Street, Glouster, for disorderly conduct by intoxication on 8 Oct 10.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Khalil Worried Pettiford, age 24, 1054 Wheeling Avenue, Zanesville, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Pettiford was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 10 at 1:10 am.

Robert Michael Phillips, age 24, 8925 Calla Road, Canfield, OH, for operating a vehicle with an expired license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Phillips was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 10 at 3:25 pm.

Johnny Ray Livingston, age 32, 270 High Plains Drive, Princeton, WV, for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle with fictitious plates, both misdemeanors. Livingston was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 10 at 3:45 pm.

Terrell Dwayne Mason, age 28, 19101 Evergreen, Detroit, MI, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Mason was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 10 at 7:11 pm.

Jesse Ryan Jadwin, age 22, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 3, Marietta, for a felony charge of failure to appear and for misdemeanor charges of receiving stolen property and failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Jadwin was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 10 at 7:56 pm.
