On 13 Oct 10 Tracie Newlen, age 36, 108 Main Street, New Matamoras, reported her teenage son observed an unknown male suspect in the downstairs area of their home around 2 am. Thinking her son was dreaming, Ms. Newlen thought nothing of her son’s comment until she noticed her son’s Dell laptop computer was missing from the home. The estimated value of the computer is $200. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 13 Oct 10 Deputy Sheriff Deem responded to a third party report of a possible domestic altercation at 299 County Nine Road, Reno. At the residence, Susan Deel, age 27, stated she was involved in an argument with her boyfriend but commented at no point in time did either party threaten or assault the other. As a result, Deputy Deem closed this case as unfounded.

On 13 Oct 10 Cindy Bosner, age 49, 360 Coffman Road, Marietta, reported she believes her thirty year old daughter was assaulted by her girlfriend. Investigating the claim, Deputy Sheriff Mankins determined that the black eye on Ms. Bosner’s daughter was caused accidentally while she was struggling over a phone with her girlfriend. As a result, Deputy Mankins closed this case as unfounded.

On 13 Oct 10 Belma Nutter, age 85, 981 Calder Ridge Road, Belpre, reported a four foot tall wooden lighthouse was stolen from her yard sometime overnight. This case remains under investigation (610).

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Brandon Michael Schmidt, age 20, 416 Mulberry Street, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Schmidt was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Oct 10 at 2:15 am.
