On 27 Sep 10 the vice principal at the Washington
County Career Center reported he smelled burnt marijuana as
he walked past a seventeen year old Bartlett resident. Asked
about the odor, the juvenile admitted smoking marijuana in a
vehicle along with three other students on their way to school.
The principal searched the vehicle, which was driven by Aaron
C. Goins, age 18, 1340 Patten Mills Road, Cutler, and discovered
a marijuana joint in a cigarette pack and a marijuana joint
and a gram of marijuana in another cigarette pack. Interviewed
by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks, Mr. Goins admitted the marijuana joint
in one of the packs was his. Similarly, the juvenile admitted
the contraband in the other pack belonged to her. As a result
of the incident, Deputy Smeeks issued a minor misdemeanor citation
to Mr. Goins for possession of marijuana a requested a summons
for the teenage to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency
by possession of marijuana.
On 27 Sep 10 Sgt. Underwood arrested Quenton
R. Wood II, age 55, 1936 Barth Road, Belpre, for driving under
a suspended license, possession of drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia. Stopped on State Route 339 for operating a vehicle
without a front license plate, Mr. Wood’s license was
under a judgment suspension. When Sgt. Underwood searched Mr.
Wood during his arrest he located a marijuana pipe in R. Wood’s
pocket. A further search of Mr. Wood’s vehicle yielded
two small baggies of marijuana.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Quenton Ralph Wood II, age 55, 1936 Barth Road,
Belpre, for driving under a suspended license, possession of
drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Wood was arrested on State Route 339 by Sgt. Underwood of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 10 at 2:15 pm.
Lonnie Merle Starcher, age 42, 346 Sycamore
Street, Middleport, OH, for being in possession of an open container
of alcohol, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, for violating
the terms of his probation and for two counts of for disorderly
conduct by fighting, all misdemeanors. Starcher was picked up
at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 10 at 4:15 pm.
Ricky Lynn Howell, age 51, 630 Oak Street Lot
165, Mansfield, OH, for nonsupport of dependants, a felony.
Howell was picked up at the Richland County Jail in Mansfield
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Sep 10 at 2:38 pm.
