On 12 Sep 10 Emily M. Fox, age 28, 1200 Lockwood Street Apt. B, Belpre, reported she was exchanging custody of her children with her estranged husband David Fox, age 35, at his residence at 670 Welch Road, Vincent, when he confronted her about issues in their separation agreement. Ms. Fox said Mr. Fox shoved her and continued to refer to their separation agreement as she fled with her children. Denying he shoved Ms. Fox, Mr. said she may make a false allegation in order to gain custody of their children. Based on information obtained during his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested a summons for Mr. Fox for domestic violence.

On 12 Aug 10 Janet Treadway, age 51, 1770 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, reported her son’s live-in girlfriend Alicia Miller, age 26, 2196 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, arrived at her home and asked to use the phone at 4:45 am. A short time later Ms. Miller’s boyfriend Steven W. Rush, age 23, appeared and forced his way into the home through the deadbolted front door. Once inside the home Mr. Rush started yelling and cussing at Ms. Miller, then began a barrage of punches and kicks to her. Ms. Miller fell to the floor and Mr. Rush continued to kick her in the head and ribs. Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff Anderson later located Mr. Rush and arrested him without incident. Questioned about the morning’s events, Mr. Rush admitted arguing with Ms. Miller but refused to comment on how she obtained her injuries. Based on their investigation, Sgt. Underwood charged Mr. Rush with burglary and domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Betty Ruth Simpson, age 57, 122 Alta Street, Marietta, for .08 breath OVI and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Simpson was arrested on Gilman Avenue by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Sep 10 at 2:00 am.
