Archive of 09-11-10

On 11 Sep 10 Ashley J. Chipps, age 30, 6185 E. State Route 60, Beverly, reported she worked at 27845 State Route 7, Marietta, between 8 pm on 10 Sep and 7 am on 11 Sep and sometime during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) slashed all four tires on her minivan. This case remains under investigation (1209).

On 11 Sep 10 Sgt. Hornbeck responded to the vicinity of 3227 School House Road, Little Hocking, to assist a Dog Warden with a vicious dog that reportedly chased a woman and bit the pant leg of the woman’s husband, who attempted to usher it away from his wife. At the scene, the registered pit bull immediately began to growl and bark at Sgt. Horneck and briefly charged in his direction. The animal charged within close proximity to Sgt. Hornbeck again at which point Sgt. Hornbeck fired buckshot from his shotgun at the dog. The dog scampered away and could not be subsequently located. Attempts to identify the pit bull’s owner are ongoing.

On 11 Sep 10 Charles E. Goodman, age 55, 51076 State Route 7, New Matamoras, reported he has been out of town since 17 Aug and at some point since his departure an unknown suspect(s) stole two packs of sleeping pills from his bedroom and a gift card from his kitchen. This case remains under investigation (1209).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kathy Lynn Haught, age 51, 555 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Haught was arrested at the Four Seasons by an agent with the Ohio Division of Liquor Control and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 10 at 12:47 am.

Larry Dale Haught Jr., age 30, 106 Plum Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Haught was arrested at the Four Seasons by an agent with the Ohio Division of Liquor Control and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 10 at 1:00 am.

Robert Michael Armour II, age 63, 103 Halstead Drive, Marietta, for assault and theft, both misdemeanors. Armour was arrested on Butler Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 10 at 5:28 am.

Jamie Jonathan Smith, age 36, 460 Marietta Road Apt. C, Caldwell, for failing to reinstate his operator’s license, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested near milepost five on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 10 at 10:40 am.

Leroy Gerald Everett Best, age 28, 1515 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a felony. Best was arrested on Lancaster Street by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Sep 10 at 4:30 pm.
