On 23 Aug 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested a summons for John L. Vandale, age 38, 112 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, for aggravated menacing. Following a court hearing on 7 May, during which the judge ruled in his ex-girlfriend’s favor in a custody matter, Mr. Vandale grew irate and stomped out of the courtroom. In the courthouse hallway, Mr. Vandale threatened to blow off his ex-girlfriend’s head and had to be physically escorted away from his ex-girlfriend. Mr. Vandale’s ex-girlfriend said the incident caused her to greatly fear for her safety, as Mr. Vandale has assaulted and choked her in the past.

On 23 Kendra L. Gingrich, age 22, 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 4, Marietta, reported she was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend Timothy L. Lahaie, age 32, during an argument at their home. Ms. Gingrich stated Mr. Lahaie threw several objects at her, broke a television screen and shoved against a wall. Struggling to free herself, Ms. Gingrich said she scratched and bit Mr. Lahaie. When S. Gingrich escaped to phone for help, Mr. Lahaie fled in his vehicle. Located in Marietta, Mr. Lahaie claimed Ms. Gingrich was the aggressor in the altercation and she punched him in the stomach and arms. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Mr. Lahaie for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
