On 18 Aug 10 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Andrew D. Zimmer, age 18, 106 Kingman Road, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy Mankins originally stopped Mr. Zimmer for operating a vehicle with an expired registration on Pike Street in Marietta.

On 18 Aug 10 an employee of Bartlett Farmers Banks, 315 Orchard Drive, Little Hocking, reported a customer returned a twenty dollar bill she received from the bank. The customer said she attempted to use the currency at a restaurant but they would not accept it because it appeared to be counterfeit. Deputy Sheriff Anderson examined the bill and noticed it did not possess the marks indicative of genuine currency. The counterfeit bill was forwarded to the US Secret Service for further investigation.

On 18 Aug 10 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded to a domestic altercation involving Daisy Goodman, age 47, and Susan Lawson, age 25, at their residence at 51076 State Route 7, New Matamoras. Another household member heard the two shouting at each other for some unknown reason and then saw Ms. Goodman slap Ms. Lawson. Ms. Goodman subsequently observed Ms. Goodman throwing kitchen utensils before Ms. Goodman grabbed a frying pan and repeatedly struck Ms. Lawson. During the fray Ms. Goodman grabbed a knife, threatened to stab Ms. Lawson and stated to her that she should grab her gun and shoot her in the head. Ms. Goodman claimed Ms. Lawson initiated the confrontation but conceded she brandish a knife at Ms. Lawson. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Simmons arrested Ms. Goodman for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jakeb Michael Bailey, age 19, 4746 Federal Road, Coolville, for underage consumption of alcohol and for breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Bailey was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 10 at 1:20 am.

Amy Renee Wright, age 34, 28935 Torch Road, Coolville, for contempt of a court order, a felony. Wright was picked up at the Belpre City Police Department by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 10 at 1:37 pm.

Daisy Mae Goodman, age 47, 51706 State Route 7, New Matamoras, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Goodman was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 10 at 3:20 pm.

Joseph Todd Greenleaf, age 38, 311 Jennison Street, Beverly, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Greenleaf was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Offenberger of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Aug 10 at 10:50 pm.
