On 9 Aug 10 Elizabeth C. Morris, age 42, 515 Rummer Road, Marietta, reported she was reviewing her bank account when she discovered nearly $400 in charges she did not authorize. Ms. Morris contacted the two online companies, canceled the orders and her money was refunded. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 9 Aug 10 Tamela L. Milam, age 41, 2195 Layman Road, Vincent, reported her husband Edward, age 32, 220 ½ Washington Boulevard Apt. A, Belpre, was served with a protection order earlier in the afternoon and later in the evening he phoned her from a blocked number. Ms. Milam said her mother witnessed the conversation and heard Mr. Milam state that “he would walk right through the temporary protection order.” Appearing intoxicated when Deputy Sheriff Rhodes questioned him, Mr. Milam denied placing the phone call and claimed that he thought his wife was trying to keep him from leaving the county. Despite Mr. Milam’s assertion he did not place the call, Deputy Rhodes arrested him for violating the terms of a protection order and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 9 Aug 10 Amanda M. McIntyre, age 26, 57 Hazelwood Road, Marietta, reported her former roommate threatened her last month after she scolded her roommate’s child for eating while using the home computer. Ms. McIntyre stated she stayed elsewhere for the past month to let tempers quell and sometime during that period her roommate stole a circular saw, two pans and two washcloths. Deputy Sheriff Mankins determined the property dispute was a civil matter and no direct threat was made toward Ms. McIntyre.

On 9 Aug 10 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to David W. Stratton Jr., age 27, 1538 Roddy Road, Vincent, for driving under a suspended license. Investigating another matter at Cunningham Scrap Metal, Deputy Mankins noticed Mr. Stratton acting suspiciously and determined Mr. Stratton drove his vehicle to the business.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Nathan David Goddard, age 22, 110 Howard Street, Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Goddard was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 10 at 10:50 am.

Charles Lewis Sexton Sr., age 47, Marietta, for obstructing official business, a felony. Sexton was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 10 at 11:00 am.

Hank Clayton Rood, age 36, Marietta, for giving false information, a misdemeanor. Rood was arrested on Walnut Street by Patrolman Augenstein of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 10 at 2:45 pm.

Ralph Lee Wires Jr., age 51, 1645 Calder Ridge Road, Belpre, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Wires was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 10 at 6:55 pm.

Edward Joseph Milam, age 32, 220 ½ Washington Boulevard Apt. A, Belpre, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. Milam was arrested on Elm Street in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 10 at 11:12 pm.

Chase Luther Simmons, age 25, 1204H County House Lane, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, possession of drugs and criminal damaging, all misdemeanors. Simmons was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Aug 10 at 11:26 pm.
