On 8 Aug 10 Lt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriff Caltrider investigated reports of a vehicle partially blocking the roadway near 87 High Street, Vincent. At the location the Deputies observed a female, later identified as Tabitha D. Way, age 28, 9150 State Route 550, Vincent, slumped over the steering wheel. While Ms. Way was treated by emergency personnel she gave the Deputies permission to search her vehicle. The search resulted in the discovery of a small bag of marijuana, rolling papers and an unidentified white pill. After being cleared medically Ms. Way was arrested for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for operating a vehicle with fictitious plates and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 8 Aug 10 the Barlow EMS transported a thirty-four year old Marietta resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital following a suicide attempt. The woman suffered a head contusion and minor neck injuries when she fell after attempting to hang herself with an extension cord. The victim was being held for treatment but escaped serious injury (208).

On 8 Aug 10 Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested summonses for Teryl S. Work, age 53, and James L. Carney, age 57, both of 207 Second Street Lot 7, Beverly, for disorderly conduct. Both subjects had been drinking alcohol and were involved in an argument during which Ms. Work threw a half full can of beer at Mr. Carney and Mr. Carney insulted and made obscene gestures toward Ms. Work.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Carla Marie Brooks, age 40, 712 Fifth Street, Marietta, for domestic violence and for possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Brooks was arrested at her residence by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 10 at 1:16 am.

James Edward Penn Jr., age 34, 4185 Okelona Road, South Euclid, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Penn was arrested near milepost seventeen on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 10 at 9:33 am.

Lonnie Merle Starcher, age 42, 908 Main Street Apt. A, Belpre, for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. Starcher was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 10 at 10:08 am.

Tabitha Dawn Way, age 28, 9150 State Route 550, Vincent, for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for operating a vehicle with fictitious plates, all misdemeanors. Way was arrested on High Street in Vincent by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 10 at 7:20 pm.

Zachary Eugene Stubbs, age 20, 3850 Central Avenue Apt. 12, Parkersburg, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Stubbs was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Aug 10 at 10:45 pm.
