Archive of 07-31-10

On 31 Jul 10 a passerby reported observing Mary Sidel, age 44, 817 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, involved in an argument with her son and that he felt Ms. Sidel’s son was being abusive toward his mother. Interviewed by Sgt. Hornbeck, Ms. Sidel said she and her son were only arguing and no physical altercation took place. As a result, Sgt. Hornbeck closed this case as unfounded.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Cory Glen Friend, age 19, 1061 39th Street, Parkersburg, for telephone harassment and for criminal damaging, both misdemeanors. Friend was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 10 at 1:39 am.

Ira David Blair Jr., age 25, 11806 State Route 26, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Blair was arrested near the intersection of Second and Greene streets by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 10 at 2:43 am.

Billy Allen Babcock, age 34, Marietta, for criminal trespassing and for two counts of theft, all misdemeanors. Babcock was arrested near the intersection of Second and Greene streets by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 10 at 3:12 am.

Devonne Curtis, age 50, 735 Eighth Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Curtis was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 10 at 3:29 am.

Melinda Ann Ruppen, age 25, 2261 Harrisburg Pike, Grove City, OH, for giving false information to avoid a ticket, for not wearing a seat belt and for two counts of possession of drugs, all misdemeanors. Ruppen was arrested near milepost five on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 10 at 9:14pm.
