On 29 Jul 10 Laura E. Warden, age 32, 4855
State Route 339, Vincent, reported she removed her platinum
wedding ring and another diamond ring while performing as an
extra in a movie being filmed at 1345 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta,
on 24 Jul. Ms. Warden said she placed the jewelry in her purse
and at one point during the filming one of the females abruptly
left the residence. This case remains under investigation (1209).
On 29 Jul 10 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio requested
a summons for John Miracle, age 48, 1620 Muskingum River Road,
Marietta, for littering. A resident on Kennon Lane in Marietta
reported that morning that he discovered several bags of trash
at the end of his driveway that was not there the previous evening.
Examining the rubbish, Deputy Travaglio determined the trash
was similar to an incident involving Mr. Miracle during which
he disposed of trash from a rental property in the same manner.
Mr. Miracle admitted disposing the refuse on Kennon Lane and
agreed to clean up and properly dispose of the items.
On 29 Jul 10 William Bacorn, age 35, 500 1/2
Third Street, New Matamoras, reported Matthew Lamp, age 32,
318 Main Street, New Matamoras, began banging on his front door
and yelling at him around 3 am in the morning. Mr. Bacorn said
he is dating Mr. Lamp’s estranged wife and on more than
one occasion that morning he said Mr. Lamp threatened to kill
him. At one point during the incident, Mr. Bacorn stated he
heard Mr. Lamp say that he was damaging his truck. When he next
looked at his truck, Mr. Bacorn said the headlights and side
windows were broken. Though Mr. Lamp denied both threatening
Mr. Bacorn and damaging his property, Deputy Travaglio requested
a summons for Mr. Lamp for menacing and criminal damaging.
On 29 Jul 10 Rachel Campbell, age 26, 32 Anderson
Lane, Waterford, reported she was shopping at the thrift store
in Vincent when she inadvertently left her purse on the floor.
When she retrieved her purse a brief time later, Ms. Campbell
discovered her mobile phone and approximately $300 were missing.
This case remains under investigation (594).
On 29 Jul 10 Brenda Zimmerman, age 48, 98 Salster
Road, Fleming, reported she drove to various locations in the
county during the day and at some point her Coach purse and
its contents were stolen from her vehicle. This case remains
under investigation (594).
On 29 Jul 10 an employee of Stonegate Construction,
1378 Way Road, Belpre, reported sometime between November 2009
and April 2010 three pieces of farm equipment were stolen from
a storage shed at 11998 State Route 555, Cutler. The estimated
value of the stolen items is over $6,000. This case remains
under investigation (1293).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gary Lee Jackson Jr., age 28, 400 Phillips
Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order,
a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court
by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jul 10 at 9:30
Ronald Wayne Gilbert, age 45, 920 Quarry Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Gilbert was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation
Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 29 Jul 10 at 10:15 am.
Gerald Quentin Smith, age 18, 390 Kennedy Road,
Cutler, for receiving stolen property, a felony. Smith was arrested
in Bartlett by Detective Parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jul
10 at 11:05 am.
Michael Ray Lucas Sr., age 41, State Route
83, Beverly, for felony charges of forgery and license plate
theft and for misdemeanor charges of forgery and failure to
appear. Lucas was picked up at the Noble County line by Sgt.
Norman of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jul 10 at 7:12 pm.
