On 26 Jul 10 Naaman J. Heiss, age 34, 118 Anderson Lane, Waterford, reported he left the keys in his Ford F-350 after moving it on 23 Jul and sometime thereafter he believes his brother took the vehicle without permission. The truck was later recovered and impounded in Wood County, WV as part of the arrest of Lucas Heiss and three other suspects for a burglary committed in Waterford on 25 Jul. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 26 Jul 10 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested a summons for James J. Lowers, age 31, 3455 Kosky Drive, Stockport, for theft. Though he informed a clerk he would return with money after his debit card was declined, Mr. Lowers never returned to pay for $33 in gasoline he pumped on 22 Jul 10.

On 26 Jul 10 Rita J. Hardman, age 62, 1860 Hanna Road, Marietta, reported on two occasions during the past week large sums of currency were stolen from her purse. Mrs. Hardman said the first incident occurred at her home last week and the most recent was while she was at work at Big 4 Auto Sports earlier in the morning. The total sum of the stolen cash is in excess of $5,000. This case remains under investigation (1184).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Roger Lavern Eddy, age 57, 426 Strecker Lane, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Eddy was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 10 at 9:53 am.

Devan Wayne Anderson, age 19, 900 Tresch Road, Fleming, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Anderson was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 10 at 2:18 pm.

Jeffery William Welsch, age 24, 607 Elm Street, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Welsch was arrested in Marietta by Lt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 10 at 3:10 pm.

Jason Israel Moncman, age 34, 46 Acme Street, Marietta, for forgery, for receiving stolen property and for violating the terms of his parole, all felonies. Moncman was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 10 at 8:46 pm.

Rocquel Marie Britton, age 19, 608 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, for complicity, a felony. Britton was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 10 at 9:57 pm.

Kevin Andrew Williams, age 22, 712 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Williams was arrested at 609 Fourth Street in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 10 at 10:33 pm.
