On 20 Jul 10 Jamie Duck, age 30, 100 Rauch Drive, Marietta, reported she left her Coach purse on the kitchen table the previous evening and when she awoke the following morning her purse was missing. In addition to her purse that contained her prescription medications, credit cards, $25 and her checkbook, Mrs. Duck stated the suspect(s) also stole a DiGiorno pizza from her freezer. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 20 Jul 10 the minister at the Lower Paw Paw Church of Christ, 9660 State Route 821, Lower Salem, reported the post office contacted him to inform him that it appeared mail in the church’s mailbox had been burnt. Viewing the mailbox, Deputy Sheriff Caltrider observed an oily substance on the mail inside the mailbox and on the front portion of the mailbox. As well as seeing the oily substance, Deputy Caltrider confirmed that a portion of the mail was burnt. This case remains under investigation.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Bryan David Babcock, age 43, 470 Cornerville Road, Reno, for assault and for two misdemeanor counts of obstructing official business, all misdemeanors. Babcock was arrested on Gilman Avenue by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jul 10 at 1:06 am.

Jason Homer Malone, age 32, 14521 Romeda Avenue, La Marada, CA, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Malone was picked up in Portage County by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jul 10 at 2:44 pm.

Travis Eugene Wineman, age 30, 211 ½ 11th Street, Parkersburg, for criminal damaging, assault and for two counts of receiving stolen property, all misdemeanors. Wineman was arrested at 201 Poplar Lane by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jul 10 at 7:45 pm.
