On 1 Jul 10 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested a summons for a fourteen year old Beverly resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s parents said their son left the home without permission the previous evening and did not return until 5 pm. When he interviewed the juvenile, Deputy Smeeks noticed he was not respectful toward authority and commented that he did not like living at home and didn’t care if he was sent to the Juvenile Center.

On 1 Jul 10 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded to the scene of death of a ninety-four year old Belpre resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 1 Jul 10 Bryan Casto, 2364 King Ridge Road, Saint Marys, WV, reported he ran errands at various locations the previous day and at some point the driver of an unknown vehicle struck the rear right fender of his Dodge Dakota. The collision caused minor damage (597).

On 1 Jul 10 Sherri Padgett, age 44, 460 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) threw eggs and food condiments on her car, driveway, sidewalk and house. This case remains under investigation (208).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Benjamin Reed Coffman, age 33, 1007 Florence Street, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Coffman was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 10 at 8:47 am.

Stacy Yvette Lee, age 39, 16730 Maple Avenue, Caldwell, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Lee was picked up at the Noble County Line by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 10 at 1:45 pm.

Reed Mitchell Joyce, age 20, 73 Glencoe Street, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Joyce was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 10 at 3:22 pm.

Noel Marie Strawhecker, age 39, 784 Wooster Road, Barberton, OH, for falsification, a misdemeanor. Strawhecker was picked up in Barberton by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 10 at 5:54 pm.

Christopher Allen Crooks, age 21, 934 West Bennett Street, Bridgeport, OH, for driving under a suspended license, speeding and theft, all misdemeanors. Crooks was arrested near milepost three on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jul 10 at 6:49 pm.
