On 28 Jun 10 a third party reported she believed
the residents at 35610 State Route 7, Newport, were involved
in a domestic dispute. When Lt. Gherke and Deputy Smeeks arrived
the reported victim, Stacy Hendrickson, age 27, and the alleged
suspect, Jacob L. Hall, age 28, were packing Ms. Hendrickson’s
clothes in a laundry basket. Ms. Hendrickson was unwilling to
provide a statement and commented that she just wanted to leave.
Mr. Hall, who appeared to be intoxicated, said the dispute was
only verbal and that no physical violence occurred. Unable to
find evidence of any crime, Deputy Smeeks closed this case as
unfounded. At the request of the Mr. Hall’s probation
officer, Deputy Smeeks arrested Mr. Hall for violating his probation
by being under the influence of alcohol.
On 28 Jun 10 Virginia R. Nunn, age 24, 125
Millers Lane Apt. B3, Marietta, reported a neighbor at her apartment
complex punched her in the face during a confrontation. Ms.
Nunn said her assailant was angry because she allegedly made
the woman’s granddaughter cry and repeatedly asked Ms.
Nunn to hit her. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 28 Jun 10 Deputy Sheriffs Mankins and Simmons
were dispatched to the scene of a fight in the middle of the
roadway near the intersection of Sandhill Road and Summit Drive.
Interviewed at the scene, the victim, Wendy Sudnik, age 33,
400 Phillips Street, Marietta, stated she was at a friend’s
home with the father of her child, Brian R. Ritchie, age 40,
101 Theis Avenue Lot 9, Marietta, when Mr. Ritchie decided they
should leave. Ms. Sudnik said she and Mr. Ritchie were both
intoxicated and Mr. Ritchie began to drive erratically. When
she asked Mr. Ritchie to stop, Ms. Sudnik said Mr. Ritchie stopped
the vehicle and an argument ensued. At that point Mr. Ritchie
punched Ms. Sudnik in the face several times and tackled her
as she attempted to flee. Confirming Ms. Sudnik’s account
with witnesses, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Ritchie for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 28 Jun 10 Jolene Graham, age 35, 27345 State
Route 7, Marietta, reported a physical altercation erupted after
she asked her husband Robert, age 37, to turn down the volume
of his music. Highly intoxicated following a daylong alcohol
binge, Mr. Graham grabbed his wife, threw her around their living
room and then grabbed her hair and face. Fleeing only to return
later, Mrs. Graham stated her husband attacked her again. Mrs.
Graham said her husband assaulted her in front of their children
and continued to strike her when they relocated to a bedroom.
Viewing Mrs. Graham’s injuries, Deputy Sheriff Mayle arrested
Mr. Graham for domestic violence and transported him to the
Washington County Jail.
On 28 Jun 10 the Beverly-Waterford Emergency
Squad transported Carla M. O’Neill, age 39, 12787 State
Route 676, Waterford, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment
to a drug overdose. Ms. O’Neill departed a friend’s
home on State Route 676 on foot and was found semi-conscious
shortly thereafter, lying on the ground in a neighbor’s
yard. Emergency personnel stated Ms. O’Neill should fully

arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mayle and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 Jun 10 at 1:18 am.
Jacob Lee Hall, age 28, 35610 State Route 7,
Newport, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Hall was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Jun 10 at
Charles Laverne Sherman Jr., age 23, 109 Wooster
Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Sherman
was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 Jun 10 at 7:34 pm.
Brian Robert Ritchie, age 40, 101 Theis Avenue
Lot 9, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ritchie
was arrested on Summit Road by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 Jun 10 at 11:44 pm.
