On 27 Jun 10 Steven Ellis, age 56, 207 Brandy Drive, Marietta, reported sometime between 11 pm on 25 Jun and 5 am on 26 Jun an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a Passport radar detector and the ashtray that contained change. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 27 Jun 10 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested a warrant for Keshia R. Tillis, age 23, 34663 State Route 7, Pomeroy, for violating the terms of a protection order. Earlier in the morning, Joshua R. Dunn, age 25, 611 Fourth Street, New Matamoras, reported Ms. Tillis phoned him in violation of a protection order he obtained as a result of a prior domestic dispute. Questioned by Deputy Smeeks, Ms. Tillis stated she phoned Mr. Dunn because he phoned her first. Deputy Smeeks viewed Mr. Dunn’s mobile phone call history and was unable to substantiate Ms. Tillis’ claim.

On 27 Jun 10 Leslee Hart, age 25, 109 Electra Avenue, reported she was collecting belongings to move out of the home she shared with her husband when her husband started to call her names. Interviewing the suspect and a witness, Deputy Sheriff Caltrider was unable to find evidence of any criminal activity. Therefore, Deputy Caltrider closed this case as unfounded.

On 27 Jun 10 a seventeen year old Lowell resident was backing out of a parking stall at Jukebox Pizza at 620 Main Street, Waterford when he struck the passenger side of a parked Honda sedan owned by Carey McGraw, 5345 Patten Mills Road, Stockport. The teenager’s Chevy SUV and Ms. McGraw’s vehicles both sustained light damage (1293).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Howard Michael Gayheart, age 37, 39 McVicar Lane, Vincent, for criminal damaging, criminal trespassing and for menacing, all misdemeanors. Gayheart was arrested on Putnam Street by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jun 10 at 2:13 am.

Steven Matthew Pierce, age 21, 3915 State Route 676, Stockport, for OVI, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Pierce was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jun 10 at 5:30 am.

Matthew Grant Schneider, age 34, 140 Wells Avenue, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Schneider was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jun 10 at 5:56 am.

David Joseph Caplinger, age 23, 110 Knox Street Apt. 35, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Caplinger was arrested near CVS by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jun 10 at 8:10 pm.
