Archive of 06-23-10

On 23 Jun 10 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued a citation to Stanley E. Bowers, age 31, 1118 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Rhodes stopped Mr. Bowers for having only one operable headlight on State Route 550 near State Route 339 in Barlow Township.

On 23 Jun 10 Thomas Wittekind, age 38, 114 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, suffered second degree burns to his face, arm and chest when the fire het set in his trash burn barrel flashed. Mr. Wittekind stated he did not use accelerants and was burning pieces of a cardboard dishwasher box. After being transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital, Mr. Wittekind was transferred to the burn center at Western Pennsylvania Hospital (790).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Larry Gale Thompson Jr., age 27, 231 Faye Avenue, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 10 at 1:55 am.

Joshua Leroy Gore, age 22, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for theft and for contempt of a court order, both misdemeanors. Gore turned himself in a Marietta Municipal Court and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 Jun 10 at 9:35 am.
