On 16 Jun 10 Lt. Stackpole requested a summons
for a fourteen year old Little Hocking resident to appear in
Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency. Forbidden from using
his household’s computers because of his poor behavior,
the teenager hacked into a password protected computer. The
juvenile’s actions resulted in the deletion of important
files and documents and will likely require professional assistance
to restore full functionality to the computer. The teenager’s
father stated his son becomes irate when he does not get his
way and frequently damages items in the home.
On 16 Jun 10 a twelve year old Marietta resident
reported he was assaulted by another juvenile at a pond in the
vicinity of 600 Tadpole Run Road in Dunham Township. The juvenile
said his six year old brother made a comment about the assailant’s
girlfriend and his assailant said since the six year old was
too young to beat up he would beat him up instead. The juvenile
was struck several times in the head and knocked to the ground
before he was finally able to flee. This case remains open pending
the interview of the suspect and other witnesses (500).
On 16 Jun 10 David L. Burt, age 47, 17981 State
Route 339, Waterford, reported he owns property at 1069 Creek
Road, Bartlett and when he arrived at the property that morning
he discovered a pile of shingles and other trash dumped in the
driveway. This case remains under investigation (712).
On 16 Jun 10 Gerald Smith, age 70, 460 Washington
Street, Macksburg, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s)
stole a Honda ATV from a storage shed on his property. This
case remains under investigation (809).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Patrick Ryan Marte, age 25, 1010 Poplar Street,
Belpre, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Marte was
arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hunter of the Belpre
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 16 Jun 10 at 12:55 am.
Timothy Paul Lyons, age 51, Marietta, for disorderly
conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Lyons was arrested on
Pike Street by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
16 Jun 10 at 9:29 pm.
